Father's Breakfast

It was so lovely to once again be able to celebrate the significant men in the lives of our students at our Father's Breakfast, following a two year hiatus due to COVID. It was an entertaining start to the day, with the BBQ setting off the fire alarms and a visit from the fire truck, but once underway, and enjoyable breakfast was enjoyed by all.  We are always so grateful for the support of our sponsors and the staff, parents and students who work so hard to make the event come together.&nb...

Celebrating Matariki

We would like to thank Mrs Nikki Vaai for her work and guidance around the teaching and celebration of Matariki at Reremoana this year, and for organising an amazing exhibition to celebrate Matariki.Nikki writes: Matariki is a special occasion in the Aotearoa calendar, traditionally Māori used the rising of Matariki as a marker to celebrate the New Year. There are 9 stars in the Matariki cluster, each representing different aspects in Te Ao Māori. Matariki is the star connected to health and w...

Tui Team Market Day

This term students in the Tui Team have collaborated in small groups to select a charity, research it, build a website about it and then go about doing some fundraising. What amazing creativity, resilience and collaboration was shown throughout this process, which culminated in a Market Day. The whole school got behind this event, buying Market Day dollars to spend at all the stalls. The Tui Team raised an amazing $3500 for their charities! Doing Good because Good is Good to Do!...

Athletics Day 2019

Our annual Athletics Day is a whole school event held at Massey Park in Papakura, where students compete in a range of events made possible by taking place at a purpose built facility. This year, despite a less than ideal weather forecast, the day was perfect and all ran smoothly (no pun intended). The success of the day is always made possible by wonderful helpers from our community, a committed staff and also many ex students. More photos can be found on our school Facebook page....

Celebrating our Significant Males

Our "Fathers" Breakfast for significant males in our students' lives, has become a regular feature of the Reremoana School Calendar. It is an opportunity for 'Dads' and their kids to come to school together, have a cooked breakfast, and listen to an inspirational thinker. This year we heard from author and motivational speaker Myan Subrayan. The breakfast was cooked and served by AIMS Games team members and their families.  A big thank you again to our sponsors, Barfoot  and Thompson M...

Book Week

Towards the end of Term Two we celebrated books and reading in a number of ways. The library was turned into an enchanted garden surrounded by books for sale, provided by Scholastic. We raised an amazing  $1806.42. The money raised through the sale of the books will be used to improve the library and ensure this is a place that fosters wonder. Our Book Fair included an evening where we could wear our PJs and listen to stories in the library.  Author James Russell took creative wri...
